DAY 2: GORILLA TREKKING IN VOLCANOES NATIONAL PARK.
Your day begins early with a delicious breakfast at your lodge, fueling you for the incredible adventure ahead. Afterward, you’ll set out for the Volcanoes National Park headquarters, where you'll meet your expert guides and rangers who will provide a detailed briefing on the gorilla trekking experience. They will share important information about safety, the rules for interacting with the gorillas, and what to expect during the trek. Following the briefing, your group will set off on one of the most profound wildlife experiences on the planet: tracking the mountain gorillas through the dense, mist-covered forest of the Virunga Mountains. The trek can vary greatly depending on the location of the gorilla family, as these magnificent animals roam freely in their natural habitat. The conditions also depend on the weather, with terrain that can be muddy, steep, and sometimes challenging. Trekking can take anywhere from two to six hours, and it’s important to note that you’ll be navigating through high altitudes, which can make the climb a bit strenuous. As such, a good level of fitness is recommended for this exciting excursion. Your guide will lead the way through lush vegetation, bamboo forests, and occasionally open grasslands, all while you try to track the elusive gorillas. Once you finally locate the gorilla family, a sense of awe will sweep over you. This will be your chance to get within mere meters of these gentle giants, who are often shy but curious creatures. You’ll spend an unforgettable hour in their company, observing their interactions, behaviors, and distinctive personalities. Some may be peacefully lounging, while others might be foraging for food or caring for their young. The gorillas’ intelligence, gentle nature, and family bonds are evident during this time, and it’s an experience that will undoubtedly remain etched in your memory. Photography is allowed, but you will be asked to remain quiet and respectful, allowing you to truly immerse yourself in this rare moment of connection with the wild. After this life-changing experience, you’ll begin your descent back to the park headquarters, where your vehicle will be waiting to return you to the lodge. You’ll have time to relax, reflect on your day, and enjoy a delicious lunch as you recount the incredible encounter with your fellow trekkers.ACCOMMODATION | Mountain Gorilla ViewMEALS | Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

DAY 3: GOLDEN MONKEY TREKKING AND RETURN TO KIGALI.
Your final day in Rwanda begins with a morning breakfast at your lodge, followed by another exciting adventure into Volcanoes National Park. Today, you’ll be tracking one of the park’s other charismatic primates: the golden monkeys. These vibrant, playful creatures are found only in the Volcanoes Conservation Area, making your trek a unique and special experience. Your guide will lead you through the sun-dappled forest glades and dense bamboo thickets, which are the perfect habitat for these golden monkeys. As you hike through the peaceful forest, you’ll have the chance to observe the monkeys in their natural environment. These curious and energetic primates are often found playing, feeding, and leaping from tree to tree, completely unbothered by your presence. Their distinctive golden-orange fur and lively antics make them a joy to watch and photograph, offering a contrast to the more serene gorilla experience of the previous day. Although the time spent with the golden monkeys is limited to one hour, it’s a thrilling and memorable experience, as the monkeys are known for their inquisitive nature, often coming quite close to visitors. You’ll be able to witness their social interactions, learn about their behavior, and enjoy the playful atmosphere they bring to the forest. After the trek, you’ll head back to your lodge for a delicious hot lunch, where you can relax and reflect on your experiences in the park. Once you’ve had some time to rest, you’ll begin your journey back to Kigali. The drive offers one last scenic view of the rolling hills and stunning landscapes of Rwanda, as you head back to the capital. Upon arriving in Kigali, you’ll be dropped off at your hotel or directly at Kigali International Airport, depending on your travel plans, concluding your unforgettable adventure through the heart of Rwanda.MEALS |Breakfast, Lunch
